While the DUMBO waterfront neighborhood has long been–and continues to be–a sought-after spot for some of the city’s best new luxury residential developments, Downtown Brooklyn is booming: A full 29 percent of the staggering 22,000 residential units coming to northern Brooklyn by 2019 are slated for the half-mile-square neighborhood, putting it in the lead for new development in that area–and a 26,000 square-foot food hall is on the way as well.
