
The Big News in real estate over the past week was the release of a proposal from the Department of City Planning to rezone much of East Midtown, allowing for the development of new commercial office buildings better suited to modern technology. This proposal was the result of an extensive steering committee effort, co-chaired by Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and City Council Member Dan Garodnick and made up of community, civic, and business representatives, including the East Midtown Partnership and Grand Central Partnership.
