New York’s super-slim skyscrapers offer fat bargains for buyers

Developers are on course to spend $13.4bn on residential construction this year, according to the New York Building Congress, an industry body. This will make 2016 the third consecutive record-breaking year, following the $12.7bn spent last year and $12bn in 2014. If this year’s forecast proves accurate, it will be more than five times the $2.6bn spent on new-build homes in 2010.
